Before your first weld

  1. Identify your exact model. Locate the model and serial number on your machine, then find the matching operating manual.
  2. Review setup and safety instructions. Follow the manual for workspace preparation, electrical connections, approved eye protection, and ventilation.
  3. Confirm your argon equipment. Check the gas requirements in your manual. Ask your U.S. gas supplier to confirm cylinder and regulator compatibility before ordering.
  4. Check your accessories. Use the manual to confirm the appropriate electrode, handpiece, workpiece connection, and any welding wire needed for your task.
  5. Practice on suitable sample material. Follow your model's instructions and evaluate the results before working on a customer's item or a critical component.

This checklist is an introduction. Your model's operating manual provides the required setup, safety, and operating instructions.
